The 2012 Acura TL ranks #2 in midsized Upscale Midsized Cars according to US News and Review, edging out the Lexus ES by two rankings,  the Mercedes C Class by 3 rankings and the Lexus IS by  5 rankings. US News and Review goes on to say that "Most critics found the 2012 Acura TL's interior to be attractive, and agreed that it is made with top-quality materials like soft-touch plastics and rich leather."

Test drivers said the front seats are spacious and comfortable, and they added that the back seats are quite roomy for the class. The TL's trunk is comparably sized with rivals' trunks, though the trunk on the SH-AWD model is slightly smaller.
